'Manes, Muzzles & Other Muses' Exhibit Opens Nov. 7 at Kentucky Artisan Center

BEREA, Ky. (Oct. 29, 2025) – The Kentucky Artisan Center is excited to announce the launch of the “Manes, Muzzles & Other Muses” exhibit opening Friday, Nov. 7, and featuring works from Kentucky artists Lesa Aker and Sharon Matisoff. With over 35 original oil and pastel pieces on display, the exhibit captures the artists’ deep understanding of their craft and the world around them, celebrating their greatest inspirations. 

An opening reception will take place in the Artisan Center’s front lobby exhibit space on Friday, Nov. 7, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. “Manes, Muzzles & Other Muses” will be on display in the Kentucky Artisan Center’s front lobby until Friday, Jan. 16. This exhibit is free and open to the public during the center’s open hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily). 

The Kentucky Artisan Center is a state arts agency within the Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, and is located at 200 Artisan Way, Berea, KY 40403, just off Interstate Highway 75 exit 77. In addition to artist exhibits, the Artisan Center is also the state’s largest retailer of Kentucky-made artwork, handcrafted items, books, food products and more.
