BEREA, Ky. (October 18, 2022) – The Kentucky Artisan Center will hold a book signing for Kentucky author Jim Shields on Saturday, November 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The book signing event will feature Shields’ children’s books, including Welcome, Baby Bunnies!, Skylar’s Wonderland, Bertram Finds a Friend!, and more.
Currently residing in Lexington, Shields has been writing since he was a teenager. Often drawing stories from experiences growing up on a farm in Tennessee, Shields aims to tell unique stories that revolve around practical life lessons and character-building and thanks his children and grandchildren for inspiring these themes.
The Kentucky Artisan Center is an agency in the Tourism, Arts & Heritage Cabinet of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Located off I-75 at Berea Exit 77, the Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering traveler services, shopping, exhibits and artist demonstrations. The Artisan Café & Grill is open for breakfast and lunch from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
